Employment Interviewer

We are currently on the lookout for professionals who are available for a couple of hours per week working with us remotely to coordinate and to carry out interviews for our Entry to Mid-level candidate pool. Hiring experience is not essential. However, excellent interpersonal communication skills are required, as after some naturally flowing ‘small talk questions’, a comprehensive list of questions would be provided to be selected from and delivered for the interview sections.

In addition, possessing strong interpersonal and record-keeping skills is a plus. You would also be central to maintaining participant confidentiality and privacy by following best practices to ensure that interviewee data remains secure and accessible only to approved personnel and teams.

Typically, an interviewer receives a list of questions and objectives, along with data regarding interview subjects, then updates or schedules the next step in the hiring process. During the interview, the interviewer asks questions and records answers, asking follow-up questions to gather clear and usable data.

  • Job Duties and Tasks for “Interviewer”
  • Contact candidates to be interviewed to confirm the booking, by telephone or mail, cancellations or rescheduling should then be processed accordingly on our app.
  • Ask questions in accordance with instructions to obtain various specified information, and to match the candidate with CV details provided.
  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies in interviewees’ responses by means of appropriate questioning and/or explanation.
  • Compile, the recording from the candidate’s responds and any additional notes and rating into our database app.
  • Review data sent before the interview, such as CV, Photo etc. for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist individuals in filling out any omissions on the candidate page and to answer participant questions related to privacy and confidentiality practices and procedures.
  • Meet with supervisor online after an interview to submit completed data entry and file upload and discuss progress or challenges to help shape future interviews.

Required Education & Skills

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, though some may look past educational background if the employment interviewer has sufficient professional experience.

  • Good General knowledge skills – A General understanding of the Industry, including the Job Role and objectives of Employers
  • Clerical skills – in this role, interviewers record interview information quickly and accurately, so they should have strong clerical skills, such as typing and note-taking
  • Confidentiality – Maintaining confidentiality is vital in this role, so interviewers should understand the importance of protecting interviewee data and following best practices to maintain confidentiality
  • Attention to detail – interviewers should also have a high level of attention to detail to ensure that they accurately record answers, ask the right questions and follow-up questions, and gather all necessary data
  • Communication skills – written and verbal communication are both central to this role since interviewers need to speak to Candidates and prepare and present reports
  • Time management – interviewers also need great time management skills to successfully coordinate interviews and ensure that they gather data on time for the next step of the hiring process
